Sustainable Design

When you chose InConcrete to commission your design elements, you are choosing an environmentally friendly company with a community-centric conscious.  We are always learning and working to make our footprint as small and efficient as possible and believe that running a business in a sustainable manner is just plain smart business - having nothing to do with the "green craze.’ 

We strive to promote health and wellness for all our neighbors - whether they are of bark, feather, fur, or leaf. What this means for you, as our client, is an experience of thoughtful consideration for your needs and a job done efficiently with vast attention to detail.

• Local.  All design elements are made locally in Flagstaff with a high concentration of materials found right here in northern Arizona.  We keep jobs, money, and resources here at home, and are proud to partner with local businesses and individuals.
• Recycle.We use recycled materials in all of our mix designs.  We use up to 25% of portland cement replacement products - by-products of other industries that would otherwise end up in a landfill.  We also emply a mix design that uses 100% Flagstaff Recycled Glass for all of its sand and aggregate - close to 85% recycled by weight!
• Efficiency.  Unlike other material options that are often cut from a slab, our products are pre-cast in custom forms to the exact specifications of your job.  We also work with fabricators to try to incorporate their waste into our mixes, and we reuse forms for our most popular design elements -- Adirondack chairs, vessel sinks, and spice walls.  Our shop generates less waste going to the landfill than our home does in some weeks -- and it never exceeds it.
• Consciousness. We use only the best and most environmentally-friendly materials we can order to make long-lasting, beautiful concrete elements.  We also reuse water throughout our finishing process and to later clean our tools with.
